Does anyone know what the sustained winds and highest wind gust was in Colonial Beach? Also, what was the rain fall during Irene?

Colonial Beach was hit by a winter storm on December 18, 2009, turning this small town into a winter wonderland. High-Definition video of this rare event is available at:

Katrina's Reply: Scott, thanks for posting. It was the area's first White Christmas in 20 years and a total of 18.75" inches fell. I didn't think it would ever stop snowing!

Sometime in the mid or late 1970's there was a storm that tore up the shoreline of southern Colonial Beach. I remember concrete and trees were tossed and the concrete was never fixed! We lived in the trailer lot on the southern tip of Colonial Beach right down the street from the Happy Clam. I also remember the LOWEST tide which occurred in the mid 1970's. I saw people walking out probably 1/4 to 1/2 mile!!!!!!
