You'll find the lovely Sunflower Restaurant housed in the historic Esso service station building on Washington Ave. This location has also been home to the Tattle Tale Cafe, Espresso Station and the beleaguered Tattered Apron restaurant, to name a few. Colonial Beach Brewing which occupies the rear half of the building was looking to open "CB Eats" in the space but that plan never materialized.
Sunflower was formerly known as OomBoon Restaurant which was located across the street. They made the move over and established themselves in the new spot on the pointy corner of Washington and North Irving Avenues. Opening night took place on Valentine's Day in 2024 and they were open for dinner service with all the favorites like sushi, ramen and more!
Chef Vone (their Thai food specialist) and Chef Pepsee with his sushi skills continue to create their culinary delights which look too pretty to eat, and they taste even better than they look!
Their ABC license was granted in early May of 2024 and they were able to begin serving alcoholic beverages.
This place continues to be a huge favorite with locals and visitors alike. Come and enjoy dining either indoors or outside on their beautiful patio. They offer live music on the patio from time to time which makes for an even more memorable experience.
Here's a look at their menu so you can get an idea of what they offer.
