You'll find the Cell Block Residences vacation rentals in an historic building that started out as a fire station and later became a police station and jail.
The Second-floor suite pictured above is available for your next stay in our town. Nicknamed "Safe Harbor" it features tall ceilings, two bedrooms, one bath and sleeps up to four people. The unit is accessed by an exterior staircase.
This rental receives stellar reviews from all who have stayed here. Features include Queen size beds, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a spacious bathroom with double vanity, bathtub and a separate toilet room. There's also a dedicated workspace, in-unit large capacity top load washer and dryer and convenient off-street private parking.
You'll be within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, shops, town hill and the beach and boardwalk area.
The first floor of the building houses two one-bedroom apartments nicknamed "Runaway Retreat" and "Secret Sanctum"
The building started out as a one-story brick building constructed in 1940 and housed the town's volunteer fire department. In 1952 a second floor was added.
In 1990, a one-story concrete block structure was added onto the building which became the jail for the town with two holding cells. The police began utilizing the building at that time. Lifeguards who worked on the beach in the summertime would clock in and out as well as storing their equipment here.
Just prior to the building becoming a vacation rental unit, plans were in the works to convert it into an Italian restaurant.
